It is a historic site and part of the main hut has been preserved in its original state as a museum. On the opposite side of the natural harbor there was a colony of Gentoo penguins, which provided us great amusement. I show a few of the funny penguin pictures, but one really needs to see a whole sequence to understand what is going on. Here a perhaps a parent penguin was trying to help its chick over a lump of ice in a puddle, but they may both have been young ones. I suppose that I should have tried taking a short film. It was also interesting to see a complete whale skeleton lying on the beach.
