16.03.14 Serra Cafema, Kunene river by boat and on foot
A morning boat trip on my own took me along the Kunene river and actually I landed in Angola. There was nobody there except of some people of the Himba tribe who cross the river unhindered by any formalities. The scenery is beautiful with many large trees along the banks and desert with rocks and sand behind. I saw a few crocodiles, two baboons and some birds: herons, bee eaters and weaver birds. After my river trip there was an evening walk along the river and up onto some rocks giving good views, followed by a steep descent of the sand dunes. All very scenic.
