Okavango Delta, Tubu Tree Camp
Often it’s the smaller things in the Okavango Delta that catch your eye; particularly the birds such as the brightly coloured bee-eaters of which there are several species or the equally handsome lilac-breasted roller and pin-tailed whydah. Other birds seen were blacksmith lapwing, wattled lapwing, hamerkop, go-away bird, Burchell’s coucal and korhaan, starling, red-billed hornbill. Among the small mammals squirrels and mongeese are most likely to be seen. The only reptile was a small python crossing the track.
